With the warmth it really makes me want to plant up my balcony. The garden centres are open, soil is available, and the sun shines! However, we haven't hit the last frost date yet, so I don't want to lose and plants. I don't have the space nor the time to bring all my plants in each night, or to cover them with tarps. So, I grabbed some icicle pansies that will live, and a couple other cheapies to tied me over till May.
Still waiting to hear from the city about the garden plot construction in the park behind my apartment, I hope and it better happen soon. Tosha and I planted our seeds a couple of weeks ago, and they are growing beautifully (pictures as soon as Tosha sends them)!
We planted for the plot:
- Tomatoes
- Beets
- Lettuce
- Leeks
- Onion
- Cucumbers
- Beans
- Peas
- Dill
- Basil
- as well as some nasturtium and marigolds for the boarders to keep pests away
